I came to Tuffy, due to my dissatisfaction with my former car maintenance provider after 9 years of being loyal to them. I had a significant brake problem which the techs at Tuffy identified within an hour after a thorough evaluation of the entire brake system. Stacey then explained to me what they recommended to service, and I found out that some of the work required was well past due. My former car maintenance provider had worked on my brakes on two occasions over the past 3 years, and I still had issues that could have affected the performance of my brakes from a safety and wear standpoint. I authorized Stacey to complete the work he recommended, and after a week of driving I am very pleased with the work done for the investment I made. I would agree with many of the five star reviews other customers have made regarding the friendly professionalism, quality work, competence, and timely service Tuffy has made. It was towards the end of the day and I fully expected to be turned away and to make a return appointment. But instead, they got me right in and got me taken care of. Went in to have cooper tires put on my car. There is lock nut on each tire and I took the special tool that is used to remove them out that morning without thinking they would need it. Of it was a 50 mile round trip, Stacey words were "don't worry we will make it work out when you return " I was all prepared to just set it up for another day since this was on me. I returned with what was needed and they worked my car right in. While I waited while my car was being worked on, I observed not just Stacy customer service, I was able to observe the rest of the crew as well. Josh was the tech who worked on my car and with how I treated and with everything else that went on during my time there. THIS IS A SERVICE STATION YOU CAN TRUST! Early this month, I was driving our Accord to work when several indicator lights flashed on the dash. While we always prefer to drive across town to Tuffy's on Pine Lake, out of fear I drove to the nearest garage and was told the transmission would need replaced. I called to talk with Stacy and Rick to ask what we should do next. They assured me requesting a second opinion was entirely reasonable and put me in contact with a tow company to get the car to them. They quickly diagnosed the problem and, while it was news no one wants to hear, went out of their way to see that we were given great service. They patiently explained options and suggested we think a while before spending the money on an older car. Thank you, Rick and the Tuffy's staff for helping us make a smart choice and for evaluating a couple of cars before we decided upon a purchase to replace our Accord. Those vehicle inspections not only gave us peace of mind but also information that prepared us for informed negotiation with used car dealers. My wife and I were headed for home in Des Moines Ia. after taking a trip out west, we had traveled nearly 4600 miles and we were driving in the white out conditions on I-80 when our car started to lose power about 40 miles from Lincoln. We managed to make it into Lincoln. We made several attempts to have our car serviced at different places we had no luck. It was Saturday and all the techs went home at noon. I want to share my experience with Rick and Tuffy's in Lincoln. I was driving cross-country and arrived on Christmas Eve with a disturbing bulge in my front left tire. I had to drive 8 hours that day to Denver to meet my family for Christmas, but could not risk driving on that tire. Rick personally drove out to the warehouse to find a tire appropriate for my Mazda and found a way to get my tires replaced and balanced and me on the road before noon. I arrived in Denver at sunset, without mishap. You don't get that kind of care and attention on a holiday from just anyone. I was fortunate to land in Rick's neighborhood. My car's A/C compressor died in the hottest week of the year so far. It is a Saturn and parts are getting harder to find. They located a new one and installed it. I was away but my wife took the car in. They made sure she got home all right and when the car was finished they delivered it home to her. Really appreciate their service.

We recently flew back to Nebraska from California with the intent to drive back with a family car. Was working on my brakes today and could NOT get the lug nuts loosened on my truck. Called Tuffy @ 16th & Pine Lake Road and the manager told me to bring it on over and they would help me out. Got there just before closing time and they loosened all my lug nuts, for FREE! Excellent service and will be a future customer of theirs. They saved my back big time today!!!

I drove up from Oklahoma City with my husband and baby to see my mother-in-law in the hospital. You can imagine with a 7-month-old how sensitive my husband and I were to hear grinding in our brakes the morning before we were expected to make our trip back home to OKC. Rick was so gracious. He quickly removed the wheels. Apparently, a small rock or twig came dislodged and the sound was gone before I arrived at Tuffy in south Lincoln. But Rick's inspection and advice was the confidence we needed to safely make our trip home. Rick was so compassionate and sensitive to our situation. When in Lincoln, we will go back to Rick and Linda.

I went to Tuffy Auto Service on Pine Lake Road and 16th to have my brakes checked, because they offered a free brake inspection-which is a great incentive. I ended up needing front brake pads, a rotor match to wheel bearing, and a brake system flush. I was told that I had a lifetime warranty for the brake pads/shoes, which is a great thing to have. The staff was very knowlegeable about everything, as well as very caring and understanding. I would recommend the South Tuffy Auto Service to anyone who wants their vehicle taken care of the right way-with great staff who care not only about you as the customer, but also about your vehicle.

My 2006 Ford Explorer was having major throttle problems and I was finally left with no choice but to have it towed in to Tuffy's at 16th and Pine Lake Road. Rick helped me set up the pick up with the towing company, and Tuffy then had the throttle body replaced the same day.
